Hotel Bookings, Nice:

I have had a few setbacks in regards to our Europe trip. 1) It seems as if I was looking at the wrong year in regards to the dates of Carnaval de Nice. This year it'll be ending mere days before our arrival. I was crushed. 2) I somehow got mixed up on the date of our departure! How does this happen, people?! Anyways, we are actually leaving on the 6th, not the 5th of March.* I swear I need glasses...

After these two major blows to my enthusiasm, my sweet boyfriend knew exactly what would help to cheer me up: He went ahead and booked our hotel for Nice! We decided last week or so that it would make more sense to use Nice as our hub and to take day trips to St. Tropez, Cannes, and Monte Carlo in order to avoid any further luggage trekking. It'll also serve as a little "home away from home" for the majority of the week.

We will be staying at Hôtel Masséna! I cannot wait to spend our afternoons in the park (only a block away) and our late evenings at the quaint looking pub across the street! I think I'll like it here just fine. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure:

*UPDATE: It seems as if I am not crazy (or at least as crazy as I thought I was) because Delta bumped our flight up a day without consulting us! That is why my Delta iPhone app was saying the 5th (which I was initially going off of) and yet our confirmation e-mail was saying the 6th (which JR was insisting was our true departure date). Can they even do that? Oh well! We get an extra day in Europe and I have one less day to wait now! :)
